Medical Marijuana Strains: Indicas

If you are currently a medical cannabis user, or you are considering medical marijuana as an alternative treatment option, it's always good to familiarize yourself with the different strains. There are many different kinds of cannabis that dispensaries offer to approved patients who have a medical cannabis card. Most often they are either hybrids of the two main strains - Sativa and Indicas - or they are one or the other. A very popular strain that has been shown to demonstrate immense medicinal benefits to users is Indica.

The moniker of medical marijuana indica strains is rooted originally in Afghanistan, Morocco and Tibet; where they were first discovered. Indicas are characterized by shorter and very dense plants that have broader leaves and thicker buds - when flowering - and a short cultivation time of 6-8 weeks of flowering when matured. Tastes of buds and aromas can vary greatly, from skunk-like all the way to fruity.
